Meet the Team: JENNY

If someone would have told me while I was in college that I’d get paid to be on Facebook at my first job, I wouldn’t believe them. But guess what? It’s true.

My name is Jenny and I am part of the Marketing and Social Media Team at Connectify! I’m a very proud recent graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. I’ve always loved current events and watching the news, so picking journalism as a major wasn’t hard. When I graduated in May 2011, I wanted to work for a television station, and even had interviews at big name networks in New York City.

Though many of the opportunities were promising, something was missing. I didn’t feel I’d be able to reach my full potential at any station, and hoped for a job that would not only allow me to exercise my love of writing, but would also teach me new things every day. Cue: Connectify.

Working at Connectify is a lot different than working in television, but I am still able to do what I love. Being able to contribute to the company blog is a great way for me to combine work with passion by creatively spreading the message of Connectify to our many users! Posting pictures and videos on our Facebook allows me to share a multimedia aspect with our friends, and Twitter is a great way to have a two-way conversation with our followers. Plus, trying to fit important messages in less than 140 characters is quite the challenge!

I’m also lucky to work with some of the brightest people on the planet. No, really. I’ve always been interested in technology, but I never knew what it took to create a product as revolutionary as Connectify. I am grateful that I not only get to work with, but also get to learn from, the incredible staff at our Philadelphia headquarters.

Sure, there are some times when I don’t understand the technical language (Cross-platform, WHAT? Ad-hoc, WHO?), but I’m getting there. Until then, you can find me brainstorming new Facebook ideas and Tweeting @ our amazing followers… while also enjoying my favorite new snack: Dark Chocolate Almond Toffee bites… yyyyyuuuuuuuuuuuuummm!

    Hello Jenny. I want to buy Pro version but before, I want to know if it is normal that my 3 megs Adsl connexion gives a poor 0.8 meg connexion on my smartphone and my tablet, wifi connected. I only have two devices connected (and no neighbor!)

    Hello, there is a problem is not my HTC phone search connoctify XP version of the signal.

    Windows7 version can receive the signal. But not connect. Request a solution

    Hi,

    I just installed Connectify on my Labtop. However, in the advanced dialog box I don’t see the “WIFI” option. Thus, cannot connect from my iPad to the Hotspot. My WIFI is active on the labtop. Can somebody help me?
