Hello, a good feature will have will be bandwidth throttling on connectify hot spots. So you can limit the maximum bandwith speed on the connectify connection if you are sharing it with a bandwidth hog. I wouldn’t mind paying an extra $10 for something like that

Connectify is the best for the value, convenience and easy-to-use.
I agree with the comparison
I love Connectify

this is VERY helpful information that i will pass on to my fellow land surveyors. Mifi is a pocketbook killer and i can name at least five people who have lost their phone contracts due to Sprints data usage extortion policies..
thanks for sharing this..i wish i could get it for my whole network! cheers

This is a very nyc application, just like jokiuspot though better than it. Many benefits can be derived from it. This is just even much more better than a mifi. Thumbs-up to the programmers of this wonderful software

On a special plan you may get access for $32/month for Sprint Wireless Card (a PCMCIA old card style – not the mousey USB) that has a 5GB cap and then 5 cents/MB overage. The same card cost $62/month to Sprint for unlimited but the connection is not very fast compared to 3G and we certainly do not have 4G towers here. Sprint will allow you to monitor usage but not accurately or real-time so you have to work hard to keep that cost down. U. S. Cellular (USC) HTC Desire running on the Android system gives you 5GB but you could continuously use it for a full month and never come close to using but a fraction of that since is is about 1/4 or less the speed of the Sprint Wireless Card.
Tethering of the smart phone with the USC is easy but the speed is not that much faster than the old land line high speed offered by netzero many years ago. You can get Google Earth imagery but you gotawait alongtime. The USC cost about $80 and did not include unlimited anything but you can get around that by using Google Voice for what is equivalent to unlimited text and voice plus many other features that surveyors can appreciate.
So when a guy starts to run out of Sprint data he can tether to save $ but will never see much speed as those areas of the US with true 3 or 4G. Still seeking a better solution. Perhaps if USC could up their speed and provide reasonable rates for it, one could tell Sprint Bye-Bye or vise versa and save about $10-$30/month. That USC promo thing say you can get a new phone early but they do not tell you the odds with the little points that they give you unless you become a salesman for them and actually get others to buy and give you the credit so you can get the extra points to earn that higher speed phone.
