The Connectify Dispatch Kickstarter campaign is off to quite a start. The first few days have been nothing short of a whirlwind! Thanks to you, Dispatch debuted as one of the top ten most popular projects on Kickstarter, which led to some awesome coverage on sites like TechCrunch, GigaOM, Tom’s Hardware, and more!

It seems like Connectify Dispatch is coming into focus at just the right time, too! We are pleasantly surprised to see that Verizon has lifted its long-standing ban on tethering applications for smartphones and other devices.

What does this mean for you? Well, if you have an Android phone with Verizon, you can now install a tethering app, like PdaNet on it, and use your smartphone as an Internet connection for your laptop.

So far, so awesome.

But with Connectify Dispatch, there’s more you can do. You can tether your cell phone to a PC even while you’re on a Wi-Fi hotspot and use both at once for a faster Internet experience. Or, if you’re just worried about reliability, set the smartphone as a “secondary” connection in Connectify Dispatch, and we’ll only use it if your main Wi-Fi isn’t delivering good connectivity.

And of course, if you’ve got Connectify Hotspot running too, you can share your Dispatch Internet connection with any other device as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Your iPad doesn’t have a USB port to use the tethered 3G connection, and neither does your Kindle or Blu-ray player. But Connectify Hotspot can share that tethered connection with any of them!

It seems like each day we have yet another Internet connection available to us, and that just makes Connectify Dispatch that much more powerful!

Thanks again for your support, and don’t forget to tell your friends and family about!
