KICKSTARTER: Dispatch Dashboard!

September 2nd, 2012 by sackerman under News & Announcements

We wanted to share with you where exactly we are in development on Connectify Dispatch. Since we hit our $65,000 stretch goal to create a Dispatch Dashboard that shows you all of your Internet connections in one place, we’ve been busy burning the midnight oil to get it ready for our backers to start testing in September!

Hopefully you’ve seen some of our recent videos to know that that Dispatch is working, and drawing graphs as it goes. What’s in the videos is the best we had one week ago. It was built in C# on Microsoft’s .NET toolkit. I guess the best summary is that was “ok.” It was functional, but not that attractive, and there’s no way to get it to run on the Mac.

For those who haven’t seen the videos, this is what it looked like:

Since we’ve hit the stretch goal, we’ve been focusing our work on the user interface.

We decided that the quickest path to get that user interface really slick, fun and easy to use was to just start over, building it in HTML5 and Javascript. So, that’s what the guys are doing right now. (It turns out that this makes it easier to get it running on the Mac as well!) They’re not done, they’re really not even that close, but they have some stuff working, and I think it’s already looking much better:

We’re not quite happy yet, but we’re definitely getting closer to where we want to go. Send us your thoughts, we’d love to hear what you think.

More than ever, we need your support, and the support of your friends and co-workers!We are at the end of our campaign, but there is still so much we want to do with Dispatch! Every additional pledge means funding that we can spend improving this software. It’s easy. Just post a link on Facebook or Twitter to

Thanks for your support! Now, let’s unlock that $100,000 stretch goal!
