Conenctify 3.4.0.23678 Release Notes:

• Faster: Connectify is now faster (20% faster on client-to-client, and client-to-host networking) and uses significantly less CPU than previous versions.
• Better support for streaming video, peer-to-peer, and gaming: The software  for UPnP, MTU, and client-to-client communications have all been reworked for speed and reliability. Some examples of applications that now work noticeably better from clients include the XBox 360’s Zune Marketplace and uTorrent.
• Better support for 3G/4G cards: A number of additional mobile broadband cards and wireless carrier configurations are now supported. Certain 3G/4G cards that were misidentified as Ethernet cards are now correctly recognized as mobile broadband cards.
• Options to turn off Fling File Transfers and Network Peer Scanning:  Some people requested the ability to turn off the Fling Wi-Fi File Transfer functionality, and we have complied. Turning off Network Peer Scanning will make Connectify no longer detect web servers and shared drives on other computers, but will also prevent it from issuing ARP packets onto the network.  Both options can be found in the Connectify Menu under Advanced Settings.

You’ve already purchased a 3G/4G USB modem, and it works great. Just like your mobile carrier said it would, it gets your laptop online without a hitch. But let’s be honest, it’s 2012. A few weeks ago we added a link to the top of our order form, asking users to contact us if they were interested in purchasing volume licenses of Connectify PRO.

Have you ever had a painless traveling experience? Traveling is rarely a walk in the park for anyone involved. No matter how many times you double, or triple, check to make sure you didn’t leave anything at home, there always seems to be an unplanned setback along the way. Mine, unfortunately, happened while traveling with my boss, Connectify CEO Alex Gizis.

We were up way too early, standing on the platform waiting for the Amtrak Acela to take us to an important meeting. I know what you’re thinking, and no, the obstacle wasn’t that we were up at the crack of dawn.

When we boarded the train, there were no two seats next to each other, and Alex and I found ourselves on opposite ends of the car. I was supposed to update him with our latest Powerpoint slides before the big meeting, but instead I was stuck in a window seat with someone snoring next to me. The clock was ticking, and the train was moving…fast.

Luckily, we were both running the latest version of Connectify PRO. After starting a Hotspot, right there in the train, we were flinging files back-and-forth via Wi-Fi, even with no Internet access. And really, why should we go through the Internet, when all we wanted to do was send files between laptops that were right there in the same room… erm.. car?
