We’re excited to announce that long-time Connectify lead software engineer, Brian Prodoehl, has just been named Chief Technology Officer of Connectify. As CTO, Mr. Prodoehl will guide the development of current Connectify products, while playing a key role in planning for the future direction of the company.

“Brian already plays a crucial role in Connectify’s strategy and execution,” said Alex Gizis, CEO of Connectify. “As CTO, Brian will be instrumental in helping bridge day-to-day software development with the company’s bigger picture goals.”

And, while Mr. Prodoehl is eager to help keep Connectify at the cutting-edge of the wireless networking software space in the long-term, he will continue to work closely with the software development team to bring consumers the powerful, yet easy-to-use networking software they’ve come to expect from Connectify. Mr. Prodoehl was previously a lead engineer on performance optimizing Big Data systems, as well as a series of reliable mesh networking routers. He was also co-founder of OpenJAUS, the open source implementations of the DoD Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems standard.

When he’s not tinkering away with the PCs and hardware laying around his desk, Mr. Prodoehl has been proactive in reaching out to the Connectify community. Followers across Connectify social channels may already be familiar with Mr. Prodoehl. He was a vocal presence in our recently successful Kickstarter campaign, answering backer questions live on uStream, and directly responding to technical questions from beta testers on our Kickstarter-only message board. This affable nature, combined with his technical prowess make Mr. Prodoehl a great fit for CTO of Connectify.
